  • Japan? Holy Crap. That's awesome. Was she just all around amazing? Or did she have an amazing unheard of trick up her sleeve that came right out of left ice field and wowed everyone into submission?
  • I watched the competition last night. Personally, I think Arakawa from Japan was just beautiful on the ice. She skated a flawless program, but she took the safe road a couple of times (doing double jumps instead of triples) which I'm not sure I agree with. SHe did this because she saw Sasha Cohen fall twice and knew that if she could skate clean she would at least medal. Then the skater from Russia fell and it was all over. I think Arakawa is just wonderful, but I didn't like to see the winning program being executed on the safe side. I wanted her to go all out, give her whole effort. But, I guess what she did was just good strategy.
